Common questions

Do credits expire?: No. Credits never expire — they sit in your account until you use them.
Are AI inference costs included?: Only for Platform AI mode. In BYOK mode, you pay your AI provider directly under your own key — CodeTeach never charges for AI tokens or marks them up.
What if a generation fails?: We refund credits automatically when generation fails due to an error on our side or an AI provider error.
Can I get a refund on unused credits?: Yes — within 30 days of purchase, contact admin@codeteach.ai and we’ll refund any unused credits.
Do you offer institutional pricing?: For 5+ instructors at the same institution, contact us for volume discounts and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
What do the 10 free credits get me?: Up to 10 BYOK assignment generations (or 5 Platform AI generations). During the public beta we want every instructor to have enough credits to evaluate the tool across multiple languages and difficulty levels — generate, deploy, see the autograder run, and form an honest opinion before you decide to buy more.
